The first premise of 3 units purchased in an industrial estate (Small label Counters, Packing Line conveyors, SS Stirrers & Elevators, besides fabricated, tailor-made SS equipment supplied)
Beginning of the year, first prominent export order – for fabricated Stainless Steel items & pallets – in Oman – Mr. Hamlai, the Chairman & MD of the Omani client company introduced – pivotal order that enabled Accura to go for MIDC plot purchase
MIDC plot purchased and manufacturing facility built – Accura Pharmaquip Pvt. Ltd. officially formed (9th December 2003)
A step towards realizing the dream of converting Accura’s fabricating unit to machine developing and manufacturing establishment for the pharmaceutical industry, to be exported world-wide, to be made a an export oriented unit, to make inroads into R&D for innovating technology in-house.
UK export in collaboration with a Birmingham based engineering facility – fabricated items required for process equipment were supplied.
First manual machine manufactured – Tablet & Capsule Inspection Machine launched – Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories – the first 2 units supplied & installed… a repeat order of another 2 units was placed by them – regular supply continued globally (as of now 480 + installed)
Tablet Elevator – Acculift developed – pneumatically operated, automatic – domestic and international supply and installation – Renamed Drona in 2024 (with a facelift & enhanced speed)
Induction Seal Integrity Inspection Machine (automatic) – iVA T120 – 2nd manufacturer in the world to develop such a system successfully … The limitations in thermal imaging technology caused the machine to fall short of complete satisfaction to the client, so, after the last order in 2022, Accura suspended manufacturing of IVA T120 until further development / upgrade.

Nilesh Phadnis is the director of Accura Pharmaquip. His vision for designing simple solutions and humanising inspection technology has led the team at Accura to develop a drive for innovation and new design. Nilesh is the chief engineer and designer at Accura.

Accura’s headquarters are housed in a three storied building, covering 810 square metres in the TTC Industrial Area, approximately 40 kilometres from the Mumbai port.
The space is designed to support seamless movement from prototyping to production, with clearly defined zones for precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and testing. The ground level, dedicated to production has a machining centre equipped with a VMC and CNC Lathe, alongside a fabrication area used for bending, welding, buffing, conventional Lathes and Milling Machines. The ground level also includes the final assembly area where the engineers conduct hands-on research and development, software is integrated, and systems are tested in their final form.
Accura’s stores inventory and purchase office is located on the first floor along with an additional assembly space. Administrative functions are located on the second floor, ensuring that planning and production remain tightly integrated.
